Lol Adrian I was thinking the same thing when she mentioned the Q part of IQ she did not like. Was it the questions or the quotient?

Just quickly looking up IQ measurements, it seems this age business you're talking about isn't used anymore. It's known as "ratio IQ" vs the current "deviation IQ" which is based around a normal distribution.
But I really don't know. I'm at work and the Wikipedia page is garbage.

I agree with you Sae regarding not liking IQ test and them not being an accurate way to measure someones IQ. There is so much lacking in a written test and the speed factor does put too much pressure on a quizzer to finish quickly and not accurately.

Not really. You have yet to tell me this act I would need to perform and the expected responce I would notice as a direct result.

I would know if my prayers was answered because the world would be a little differant. Going to a certain church of a curtain faith and praying away just doesn't do anything for me. It's a waste of time. I have yet to be convinced of the existence of god. I have tried, solarwave. I didn't become an atheist because I didn't understand religion, I became an atheist because I understand religion. God is no differant from any imaginable character until there is evidence to say otherwise. (read sig)

People may not like the IQ tests, but I bet they give a fair prediction of intelligence compared to others.
Ace: I obviously dont understand atheism fully since I havn't gone through it myself and most atheists I know are from an atheist background and not a christian one like some on here.

I am with ace on this I went as far as having my own ministry and was offered the opportunity to become an ordained minister. But I refused to be ordained since even then I did not approve of titles and privilidges. I just wanted to preach Christ to the world.

I understand. There was a time when I lacked a great deal of information on religion. Not just one or two but many. Christianity wasn't the first religion I studied. It was the last. I first studied greek religions, then scandinavian gods, then roman gods. It was interesting to read. Never took it as reality. I truly gave all view points huge consideration. But one thing kept me thinking...which was constant questioning. I would listion to theists from many religions and would notice that they all speak the same. All trying to sell their beliefs onto me. But I kept questioning it. Why and how.
Some questions couldn't be answered and so were evaded and some others just didn't make any sense. Constant excuses after another and so I realised I was an atheist. I just didn't believe a word that would come out of their mouths. One quote that I like alot is this one "When you realise why you dismiss other gods, you'd realise why I dismiss yours".
I advise on studing the god "odin", I found it to be an interesting read. An interesting tale.
