Search (or my eyes) must be broken, cuz couldn't find the chess thread. Rly, nobody plays chess? I hope you guys who are stronger will post some games here.

Here's a blitz game that finally got me over 1600 rating on FICS. I made a major blunder, but that meant winning only a piece instead of two in the same combination. Still dismantled my opponent effectively I think. Smile

When the internet goes down, I play chess against the computer due to boredom. Even on the dratted easy mode, I never win.

Software now is essentially invincible except for Grandmasters. Even a Master will probably never beat Fritz, for example.

Indeed... it was a DOS game, the version I had first only presented us with 4 horrible pinkish colors, aka, CGA video.
A few months later, I got the VGA version... much better! Smile
