What? You call that heroic? Well when I was younger we used to be tortured for days before we were killed outright. Never complained a bit either. That's just how heroic we were. Hell sometimes we would tell jokes as were going out just to show how little a shit we gave.

I'm with CD on this one. A close shave or two will give you a different slant on death. I've had my two - a motorbike crash and a bombing - and the only thing about death that worries me is what if I snuff it before I read everything I want to?

I've thought a bit about regret. In all likelihood, I have far fewer days ahead than behind, and I have a long list of things I would like to do before I die. I'll never be able to do them all. In my view, it's better to relish the things you can accomplish and have accomplished than regret those you cannot.

So, you are scared to die. Why? Once you die, you won't remember what it was like to live. Won't miss it. Think about it. If you live right now like if you could die a little later, you could live life in the most extraordinary way. It would be the best way possible to live your last moments over and over again.
