How do you "spiritually" hurt anything? What can that mean?
When a person's feelings are hurt it is the disappointment of deviation from the desired state that causes the mind to react negatively.

How could a "god" feel disappointment? He would know how to make happen his desired outcome. He would know he has no restraints for achieving that outcome at any time he wished.

Free will dictates that God would not force our choices, so He doesn't force an outcome. God's desire is that none should perish, yet many will and that hurts God, just as when you lose a loved one to death.
