Why would Satan want souls? What use are they to him?

Besides, who doesn't want to catch up with Albert Einstein in the afterlife and talk shop? If Heaven is all "light"... I would tend to think Hell would be all "darkness". Hard to party with a bunch of demons with the lights off. You won't know who's ripping your corrupted flesh off your bones...over and over again! I'll take Heaven!

Change a few words and you could be describing certain clubs I've -- um -- heard about. (August 28, 2013 at 3:55 pm)Godschild Wrote:(August 27, 2013 at 10:49 pm)Brakeman Wrote: .. When someone I care for dies, I feel sad because I can't see them anymore. God can see anyone anytime he likes, even if they are in hell. A more apt analogy is whether a psychopathic torturer loves his children he has in the basement dungeon screaming from excruciating pain, enduring punishment for not obeying him. They were also not taught how to behave by their father to avoid this unforgiving punishment, but had to try to pick up the rules from other kids. Does he really feel disappointment?

So it's going to be such a great place that no one would ever want to leave it? Luke 16:24 King James Version (KJV) http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?sea...ersion=KJV 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. So you are saying he really wanted more hot sauce instead of a drop of water? He loved it there and didn't want to leave? He wanted to be there?

I believe that was a "parable"? But for the sake of arguing, just because you march into Hell, doesn't mean you'll want to stay there? McDonalds might seem like a heavenly bon a faire, but after awhile.....

If you are talking about the OT (sigh) ancient man is not a good judge of character. Jesus on the other hand says (after our death): "Amen I say to you... whoever comes to the light, will come to me." Pretty simple? We all have a choice. The big problem is with those who don't believe! THEY WON'T GO TO HIM!
