Only the pure and faithful Spirit that is faithful to love unto death will find no reason to deceive and offend any of us, such is the Spirit that is revealed by the Lord Jesus and by His true followers. This Jesus could not have lied because in His Spirit there can be seen no reason to lie. Recorded history tells us the faithful followers who knew Jesus were in the end prepared to be persecuted to death, even to be tortured to death rather than live a lie and deny what they had witnessed: His commandments and doctrine, the love and wisdom, the miracles, the promises, the crucifixion and the resurrected Jesus Christ. Despite all the efforts of hypocrites, malicious liars and antichrists, the only true and faithful Spirit lives on in all His true followers still. This Spirit is the only proven conveyor of truth because no one can explain an alternative in which we all can trust.

I'm going to colour code my responses and what you said so there is more continuity and so you know which parts I'm responding to.

From what you have said so far, you seem to think that because humans are capable of pride we cannot determine truth. So we need to get truth from what you say is a proven conveyor of truth. And now you're saying the opposite, you're saying we should just believe someone else. So how are you different from me? I believe in my own judgments, you believe in what you think is the Holy Spirit. You think the Holy Spirit cannot lie because it told you it cannot lie. Please, is that supposed to convince anyone?

As it so happens, I just finished watching a doc on Mao Zedong. He inspired more sacrifice and loyalty in more people than your jesus did during his time on earth. Considering all the shit he did (this can apply to both but I'm talking about Mao here), to this day if you say bad things about him many Chinese people will get offended and defend him. By your standards Mao should be what, a god? Is Mao a proven conveyor of truth as well?

Quote:By what criteria do you determine what is true?

The love given testifies to a man's honesty.
The wisdom he gives testifies to his sanity.

Recorded history according to Matthew 22:34-41 tells us:

Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

[As far as I can see, from an atheistic point of view, the nearest equivalent to that commandment would go something like this, “always love and value that which produced you: the human race, above your self and above all things at all costs”]

This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

I stopped reading beyond what I bolded. That didn't happen, I'm not going to pretend like it did.

Actually, forget Mao Zedong, there are plenty of people who have killed themselves for allah, and are now still fighting wars for allah. So yes, people are perfectly willing to die for whatever they believe in. If you want to hold on to your criteria for "conveyor of truth", please tell me why you chose to worship the Christian god instead of allah.

I choose to worship the God revealed through Jesus Christ instead of the one revealed through Mohammed, partly because of this...

Besides the Koran giving a written guarantee of paradise for the faithful Muslims "who are slain in the cause of Allah" (chapter 47 verses 4-6 of the Koran), this book also warns that if any able Muslim male will not be prepared to kill and die for the sake of Islam then he will be condemned to abide forever in the fire of hell... "Those that stayed at home were glad that they were left behind by Allah's apostle, for they had no wish to fight for the cause of Allah with their wealth and their persons. They said to each other: 'Do not go to war, the heat is fierce.' Say to them: 'More fierce is the heat of Hell-fire!' Would that they understood!" (chapter 9, verse 81). There are other verses in the Koran that clearly spell out this warning. The radical Muslim therefore, when he sees the need to fight for Islam's sake, will naturally go the way the father of Islam and the violent conquest of 7th-century Arabia direct him. The warnings in the Koran of endless extreme torment in the fire of hell for those who ignore the call to arms together with the promise of paradise to all Islamic martyrs, and the historic bloody battles fought in 7th-century Arabia that gave Muslims the victory in those days, will all be greatly heeded by the devout and faithful Muslim of today.

By the time Mohammed died, much of Arabia had been conquered. His devout followers, continuing in their 'holy war' for an Islamic world then went on to conquer the rest of Arabia and large parts of Asia, Africa and Europe. Any continued violent opposition to Islamic rule was always met with a violent response just as soon as such action was considered worthwhile, and 9/11 was a clear warning of things to come. Leaders of the revival of Islam (as it was in the days of Mohammed) are now inciting millions with extreme hatred for the growing corruption and depravity working throughout the West and beyond. Such leaders are now almost within reach of WMD including nuclear weapons, and as the West so seeks to destroy their religion and power so also do a growing number of radicalised Muslims believe more easily, they are the ones fighting the just war and that it is good for them to offer their lives to kill, maim or enslave all who dare to threaten their religion and way of life.

In 2005 Alastair Lawson for the BBC reported, "It is estimated that there are now around 20,000 madrassas in Pakistan, compared to around 137 at the time of partition. According to the Pakistani newspaper, The News, there are today around 1.7m students who attend such institutions, mainly from poor rural families."

The primary aim of these institutions is to teach in depth, the Koran and the way of Mohammed. How far then has radical Islam reached into Pakistan now, a Muslim country governed by weak leaders, riddled with corruption and already armed with nuclear weapons? It was through the corruption, division and weakness of others did a united militant Islam spread most swiftly.

In this time then of global Islamic revival let us ask, how many believers in the Koran, who faithfully follow the way of their 'prophet', work or are preparing to work in nuclear technology? How many work in security? How many serve in the armed forces? It would be naive in the extreme to assume the present leader(s) of the uncompromising Islam that first spread across Arabia, are not already planning and working to acquire weapons of mass destruction for Islam's defence and expansion. It would be equally naive to think that radical followers of Mohammed are not already planning how to smuggle those weapons into the cities of their enemies who seek to put an end to the ordered and chosen way of the devout and faithful radical Muslim. The more violence used against radical Muslims, (which often causes great suffering and offence to many moderate or restrained Muslims) by contemptible governments and corrupt societies, so the more hateful and vengeful do many Muslims become; and with the power to destroy cities comes the power to bring to ruin a degenerate and hated West that grows more corrupt by the day and now fights an open bloody war to put an end to Islam as it was in the days of Mohammed. Real Islam then, as it was in it's beginning, has the motive and almost has the means by which to plunge our world into chaos. The radical Shiite clerics of Iran, unless they are stopped, will also very soon have control over nuclear weapons.

As soon unknown networks of hateful and deluded enemies of the West (commanded by their god to destroy us all who dare to directly or indirectly violently oppose them) are able to smuggle nuclear weapons and start causing mass destruction and high radioactive fallout over our capital cities and major financial centres, and then go on to proudly announce their next targets, there will be only one possible outcome: Millions of key workers in the global economy will abandon their threatened cities and surrounding areas in panic. Such an offensive therefore would cause the great wealth producing cities upon which our world banking system is dependent, to suddenly turn into staggering liabilities. With no means to honour the vast debts owed to banks, the great banks of the global economy will immediately become bankrupt. The world banking system of greed and growing debt (the life blood of modern Western power) will then cease to function, and without this system our so called free and democratic society which needs this system in order to exist will begin to spiral into anarchy. All world philosophies and doctrines will become proven failures when hundreds of millions of paranoid souls across the developed world suddenly find only worthless bank accounts and useless money to live on. Driven by a growing starvation, terror, anger and hatred, they shall begin to seek food and survival by the only way they see and with every weapon available.

So you see then, Islam, like the rest of the world, does nothing to free us from the cause of having contempt for others. It does nothing to rid us of conflict, killing, misery and torment or of living by lies. In other words the god of Islam does nothing to halt our descent into everlasting destruction but does much to encourage it.

Crusades? Are you serious? Do you honestly believe that papal doctrine is anything like the doctrine given in the New Testament? Have you studied papal doctrine? Have you really studied the New Testament?

Papal doctrine, in case you didn't know, is like Islam in so far as it does nothing to rid us of the cause of living by lies and delusion and much to encourage it.

Just to give you some idea of the history of the Roman Catholic Church if you don't know already...

There came a time in Europe in the 16th century when enough Christians within the Roman Catholic Church were led to see how far the New Testament message had been twisted and altered by the papacy. The Reformation movement then started gaining a fast growing momentum as more and more enlightened Christians began speaking out against this corruption. But fearing the protest movement would spread throughout Europe and beyond, the established church began persecuting Protestants as they were then called. Many were tortured and put to death if they did not recant their new Reformed beliefs and stop denouncing papal doctrine. Such persecution clearly exposed the depth of the depravity of the papacy as more and more Protestants were tortured to death.

Protestants were then left with no choice but to start a new church, a 'Reformed Church', based on what they believed from reading and reasoning from the Scriptures.

So when you mention the word “Crusades” again, please try and remember who was in charge at the time and how corrupt the Roman Catholic Church was when the Crusades were being organised. Remember also that it was the continued barbaric persecution of Protestants that was largely responsible for igniting religious wars across Europe that would last for centuries.

That was history and thanks to the Reformation we are now living in more enlightened times, although I hasten to add that I am well aware of just how corrupt many Protestant preachers still are. Since the Reformation there must have been thousands of various anti-pope churches formed, and many are still as corrupt and vicious as Rome ever was, but not all; a growing number of people across the world are believing what the Word tells them, not what a vile corrupt church hierarchy tells them.

Every time I hear news reports of Roman Catholic priests who were reported for sexually abusing children, and were then allowed to remain in office by their bishops, and were eventually secretly moved to a new parish and allowed to start the whole process of child abuse over again, it only goes to prove once more that deep down nothing has really changed in the papal psyche since the church first became governed by Rome. By the time the Roman emperors finally made Christianity the state religion, the rot was well and truly setting in.

It is also interesting to note that in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, in paragraph 841 it is written, 'The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day.'

That's great old man, despite what millions of catholics would say to that, I agree with you, BUT where do you think your protestant religion sprang from and when? Where do you think your bible came from and how?

If one says that mormons are a deceived, demon infected, untrue religion, then by necessity, you should claim that all the splinter religions that sprang from Joseph Smiths lies are also bunk. Therefor if the catholic church's fruit is rotten, then also are the fruits from it's splinter churches, as they are direct descendants.

As I explained in my introduction, my own personal beliefs came into being after I became obsessed to know just what the truth was and what or who I and my dear loved ones should prepare to face in the end.

Quote:Where do you think your bible came from and how?

The various books of the Bible were written by men as and when they were so inspired to do so by God over a period of 1500 years or so.

Quote:If one says that mormons are a deceived, demon infected, untrue religion, then by necessity, you should claim that all the splinter religions that sprang from Joseph Smiths lies are also bunk. Therefor if the catholic church's fruit is rotten, then also are the fruits from it's splinter churches, as they are direct descendants.

Only when the members of such churches are prepared to listen to preachers who ignore or reject essential biblical teaching, such as the way of salvation and the essence and character of the Spirit of truth.

What the fuck is a "spirit of truth" and how do you go about proving such a thing is real? How do you know you aren't actually listening to the psychotic ramblings of Bobo the Killer Clown in your schizo head?

Weren't the Protestants just as brutal to the Catholics?
