Why do religious people log onto this site?

OK, who ate the last piece of lie?
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

In other words, "I understand that I have no evidence based, rational reason to hold my beliefs, but if I continue to hold them anyway it makes my faith feel stronger". You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence. RE: Why do religious people log onto this site?

Wonderful answers. Thank-you religious folk for joining in. I for one do not see the point in debating since I really don't care what you think about fairies, dust-bunnies or snipe-hunting. I would like it if you quit preaching your beliefs to me, stop praying for me, hush the bless-yous and please do us all a favor and drink more than a damn sip of wine. I am all for seeing what the other side is doing, but please leave it at that. I grew up in a christian home, with a minister as a father and a school-teacher as a mother. I was always talked at and honestly, it is very uncharitable. "Why can't we all just get along?" Anyway, cake sounds good right now. Cheers!

Classic avatar. I totally recommend reading "The Book of the SubGenius". I purchased it a long time ago when I was a kid on one of my family trips to the beach.
Life is better when you are a bit off.

I can come to heaven and live forever and ever and ever, right God?, okay God?!!" Fucking pathetic.

I view online theists as annoying internet missionaries, akin to those Jehovah's Witnesses and Latter Day Saints who harass people in real life.

Too bad they do not know how to properly swallow and digest. I made a post in the humor section, since people inform me I look like Jesus with my long hair.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
