At least you admit it. Too bad you don't realize that this is exactly what you just did.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

That's called circular logic. What conclusions? Will you please share? I came to the conclusion once that the Three Stooges were swimming in a creak and we were discussing the meaning of life. Actually, I took acid and cough syrup, and Moe, Larry and Curly were rocks. My conclusion was wrong. Your's?
Life is better when you are a bit off.

You wouldn't know reasoning if it bit you on both your butt cheeks. Here's some reasoning for you: (August 29, 2013 at 5:17 pm)Godschild Wrote:(August 29, 2013 at 1:15 am)BadWriterSparty Wrote: Your conclusion came before your faith, and your faith led you to your conclusion. That's called circular logic. You asserted god is real before your faith. After your faith, you asserted god is real. That's like saying, "Since God is real, my faith will show me that he does indeed exist." This is a logical fallacy that's circular in nature, and it also begs the question, the question which should be the real topic of discussion. I bet you don't know what that question is. Now you're trying to defend a stupid statement you made, that's pitiful. I did not assert God was real before my faith ie. trust in Him, I assumed He was real but, did not assert He was real. Big difference in the two. I know the question, is BWS dizzy from his circular reasoning? Yes! GC (August 29, 2013 at 10:57 pm)Minimalist Wrote:Quote:Faith was the beginning not the conclusion. I take you're still not sure what question your train of logic is begging. I'll give a hint: we keep asking it because we know it's what really matters concerning your claims.
To the OP: I'm going to say religious people log onto to this site to impress us with their insightful and logical arguments; to satisfy their proselytizing requirement; to get a sense of what someone with no morals or human values is like to converse with; and to remind us what waits for us if we fail to repent.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
