Why isn't it ok to believe that unverifiable gnomes grow our grass, but it's ok to believe an unverifiable sky daddy is partly the reason for humanity's corruption?

That is very naive. A simple google search will give a whole community of people who say they have seen them.

Only one person has to make the claim. Would you feel better if he replaced "Garden Gnomes" with "Big Foot" or "Loch Ness"? Stop avoiding the question.

You seriously think I'm very naïve because I've never sat down at my computer and thought, hmmm, I wonder if anyone claims that garden gnomes grow grass...I think I'll google it? Really?
But anyway, link to some of these claims and we'll consider them.

You've heard the claim now. Do you accept or reject it, and what is your reasoning behind accepting or rejecting it? You don't have to look up anything, you only have to know what you think.
There's an obvious reason to dodge the question: you can't thinik of a reason not to believe in lawn-growing garden gnomes that doesn't work equaly well as a reason not to believe in God.

Actually I think you are naive for a ton of other reasons.
But this is one of the big problems with theists. They completely ignore other ideologies and blindly accept their own. No investigation whatsoever. Most Christians don't even read the bible.
And now people that claim gnomes have to have ample evidence for you to be satisfied while your religion has nothing but a very old story book?

Incorrect. One possible differentiator is the claimed motives of the people making the claim, and whether they behave accordingly.

And you don't think there were any motives for the creation of christianity?

For Paul, the claimed motive was a vision on the road to Damascus, and the records of his life are consistent with that claim. He was already a rising star in the main religion of his people, so he had much to lose by adopting the upstart religion, and he did suffer for it. That indicates that he believed that the message he had received was true. That doesn't prove that the message was true, of course, but having the messenger believe it is the rational minimum requirement for me to consider it. I'm guessing that your gnome believers (if they exist) would repent of their beliefs if threatened with 39 lashes.
