Is this why Saudi Arabia's appointment to lead a U.N. Human Rights Council panel was "welcomed" by the U.S. State Department this past week?

Promoting the middle eastern legal/political system without actually creating reform is an excellent way of putting the human rights chair to complete waste (unless being indoctrinated into Islam is of some benefit to you). I thought this was somehow related to them being appointed to be in charge of human rights for the EU...

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
I'm wondering if it'll just be another law that sounds good at first but just turns out to be waffle. After all, you're talking about a religion where paedophilia supposedly isn't allowed.... Not that it's banned, they just see reaching puberty as reaching adulthood.

Islam gains an ever-increasing stranglehold on the world, every day, and political correctness alone makes it difficult to oppose them. So while I think this is an ostensible step in the right direction, I wonder why Saudi Arabia felt the need to make ANY concessions at all, at this point in time, if they didn't have to???? |
