*shrug* I know devout Hindus who are perfectly fine people, live peaceful and productive lives, and are what you would term 'Christ-like.' Are we to conclude from this that Shiva and Kali are real? People are good, not because of their faith, but in spite of it.

I ask politely, if your god is so gracious then why isn't he doing anything about the mess you claim we are in? If this god created us, he would know that we would need help from time to time. THIS is that time.
And yet, I'm hearing crickets from him.
There is an ALLLL-knowing, ALLLL-powerful, inVISible being who is everywhere, who created the WHOLE universe, who lives in another dimension called heaven, who is perfect in every way, who was never born and will never die, and who watches you every minute of every day (even when you're squeezing one out on the toilet). There are also unicorns, leprechauns, Santa Claus, an Easter Bunny, and a giant purple people eater.

The idea that the world is worse than it's ever been is just a myth propagated by those that morbidly wish armageddon would come before their eyes, like a Chrisitan waiting for their savior to come down from the heavens to smite his enemies.
it is much easier to lead a "flock" who thinks the world is ending thus making their dooms day predictions meaningful. Of course they are not actually meaningful.
I know I sleep good at night knowing the world will go on without me when I am gone. Takes a lot of pressure off of me to have to be everything for everybody all the time like I see a lot of religious people trying to do. It doesn't work and robs one of the self in the end.

I rarely see a person who calls themselves a Christian pay more than lip service to attempting to live up to the standards of Jesus. So much for transformation. As a wise man is supposed to have said: By their fruit shall ye know them.
