RE: What's everyone up to right now?

I'm listening to the latest episode of The Atheist Experience, for those who don't know it's a live call in show. It's run by atheists hosts, and anyone can call in, atheist or theist. They actually give priority to theist callers as they want to discuss why they believe what they do. They're not pressuring them into de converting, just offering sound questions and arguments to encourage the caller to think. Also it's aimed at supporting atheists, as many of you know in certain countries it's really tough to be one. Almost impossible to be open about it in some places.
So the episode is below, I'd encourage everyone on this board to check out this show at least once. It's been going for over 10 years and I've listened to a whole lot of the episodes, it's amazingly interesting. You get all sorts of callers, from borderline insane to very interesting people. I find it heartbreaking when there is a theist who clearly doesn't believe anymore, but just can't quite let go. The indoctrination is pulling them back, as is the worry of being abandoned by friends and family. There's a call just like that in the latest show, I urge you all to listen. Matt, one of the presenters, is just awesome at these arguments. The theist actually listens to him, and is honest that he has no answers to Matts questions.
I'm not gonna try and pressure anyone to de convert either, there's no point. I want the same thing as them, I want theists to really think hard, and for themselves. Religion is THE biggest con, probably in the history of the world. Believe what you like about me, other atheists and these hosts, but it's so obvious from our side you wouldn't believe. But I completely sympathise because it's really hard to properly assess a belief when it has been forced into your brain as fact as a child. If anyone wants a sympathetic, non judgemental guy to talk to, who is feeling anything like this, you're always welcome to PM me. I would love to help, and I won't make fun of you.
Anyhow, here's the list of episodes and the latest one I refer to is at the top. Enjoy, and let me know what you think
If just one theist on here says they have given just the slightest bit of critical thought, as the result of anything posted on these boards, I would be overjoyed. I don't expect de conversions, but just think a little. It's all there for you. Or rather, it isn't. That's the point.
From my perspective, I'm free of the shackles that are invisible to you. All I want to do is help you see them.
This latest episode had me really emotional. I can almost feel the pain of this poor guy. His call is the second one I think, after a guy who is full of "woo" bullshit and refuses to think at all. No wait, third, there's an atheist as well in there. Soft sod that I am, I've been crying away for him. I do love theists too, I take the piss out of religion as a way of demonstrating how utterly ridiculous it is. If it wasn't ridiculous, it wouldn't be so easy. Think about that. This guy is giving perfect examples of what I call rationalizations, made up arguments which don't make sense as a desperate attempt to not have to consider his beliefs might be wrong. It's almost all I read from theists on this board. Sorry, but its true. You need to know this stuff.
