Luckie is on a constant transdermal feed of Fentanyl, and has been for over a year. And she's also on Percocet, for when the pain breaks through what the Fentanyl is doing. Imagine how much pain that must be.
And then imagine, when she goes in for a surgery, the doctors see fit to be giving her less of the pain medicine she uses at home to deal with her one problem. Imagine those doctors think that less of what barely works day-to-day is going to cover both her regular pain, and the pain from laproscopic abdominal surgery, in the same area as the pain she usually has.
Imagine how much pain she's going to be in, if they keep her on this insufficient regimen for twelve hours.
And then when you're done with that, imagine how many lawyers her family and I called this morning, when we had to wait for a new nurse to come in and actually do her job, because the night nurse didn't deign to help us.
Wow.... what is wrong with her that she requires such powerful pain medication?

Because I had to replace the actual junction box in the wall, not just the outlet, I just didn't pull much of the cable through the JB hole, and then after wiring I shoved it all back through the hole until I could cram it all back in there with the GFCI.
It's not a perfect installation (the previous owners jacked the wall up pretty bad trying to fix the stripped screw hole) so the JB is kind of tilted, but I don't give a shit - an outlet that's just barely noticeably tilted is a major improvement over the outlet dangling out of the wall.
I'm running out of cheap projects that'll keep me busy until I have enough money to redo my master bath...

I'm sorry, I'm going to have to sue a nurse into oblivion now. The night nurse lied- actively lied - about what the surgeon wanted, with regard to Luckie's pain management, so she didn't have to chase down new orders and come in at any more than four hour intervals. We just found that out from the surgeon, who is much more understanding than the nurse portrayed him as.
And for that, she's going to fucking pay.

Oh, all of it at once. Everything. Everything we can do to get her fired is going to happen. You don't lie to patients. Not in a hospital. There's no room for error, and her fucking selfish behavior is going to get someone killed or hurt, as it already has.

I had a minor fender bender (completely my fault) in the parking lot this morning and I've been waiting til now shaking in my seat and freaking out because the other driver was gonna meet up with me and look over the damage. We went out and looked at the cars and it turned out to be just a few scrapes of paint off from his bumper, he's just going to buy some touch-up paint and I'll reimburse him for that. A $30 bottle of red paint instead of an insurance claim and all the associated shit. Maybe there is a God.

Today I slept trough as usual. My dog woke me up at 9AM and then she jumped to the bed and slept with me trough the whole morning
