I don't have any of that left. But meniscal tears are the fucking worst. I'd take an ACL tear over a meniscal tear any day. Sorry to hear that, Esqui.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

How the heck do you tear the cartilage on your knee?
Previous injury; it healed up badly (thank my parents for not thinking my inability to walk for a few days was serious enough to take me to a doctor) and so it's very easy for me to damage it again. Even those little air bubbles that accumulate in joints that most people can just pop away can give me a micro-tear if I'm not careful with how I position my leg and disperse them; that's what happened just now, for example.
Luckily this one's just a micro-tear too; hurts, but I'll be able to walk on it and bend my knee. The bad ones make both of those things impossible.

Have you ever thought of letting those micros heal properly?
It sounds like you're just making it worse each time it happens...

Actually, it's the reverse: these episodes would take me off my feet for hours or days in the past, but for the last year or so, I haven't even needed to change gears when it happens. In comparison, the pain and lack of function is almost non-existent from what it used to be. Now it's just an inconvenience, rather than a day ending thing.

They just opened a new bakery in the food court at my workplace....but I'm on a super low-carb diet so I'm just watching from outside smelling all the bread and pastries like:

Absence of pain does not mean absence of damage... maybe your nerves are just so damaged that they no longer convey pain properly.
You're young, you should get that properly checked out.

Banging my head on my desk until the pain induced by the sheer stupendous idiocy of this from my Facebook wall goes away:
"I am an Atheist but as far as I am concerned The Author of the Bible was really Genius... Agree or not?"
Edit to add: Now he's compounded it with this staggering observation:
"Some story are really bullshit but if the auther of the Bible didn't write the bible but made a movie instead then he'd have even got an Oscar award."
Ow, the pain... the pain..! Make it go away, Mommy!
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

That's actually a fairly good point. I'll schedule something when I get out of here. Thanks, man.
