RE: What's everyone up to right now?

I got back yesterday and I've just been catching up on what you've all been up to here
I hope everyone is OK, and I send love and hugs to anyone who isn't so great and needs them
I had a brilliant time! It was a trip we had been looking forward to for ages. As a present, my wife got me a day at the Senior Staffy Club. It's a dog rescue that specialises in Staffies and Staffy crosses 7 years and older. They want to help give them a chance because Staffies have become hard to re home due to stupid myths about them, and the older ones are harder still. I wish we had the money to support them more, but this gift has helped them raise funds.
I got to walk and play with two of the Staffies. We got to spend a lot of quality time with them giving them cuddles, it was wonderful for us and for the dogs. I met Greg and Sammy, both male and both brindle coloured. Greg seems to gravitate towards females more and sat mainly with my wife. Sammy seemed more interested in me and sat on my lap, despite being too big for that to make sense! They were both absolutely lovely and I hope they will get homes soon. They walked pretty well on the lead, better than our own dog in fact!
I'm tired out from the day and the journey, but it was so good for me and my depression. The girl who showed us around was really lovely, and we got to chat to her for a while afterwards. We learned all about the place, and we marvelled at how much she does for them. The place is run just by volunteers, including her!
I'll put some pictures up later, and I should be being sent a load more that she took while we were there on a CD too. It's good to be back, I missed you guys!
