Hey, just venting my frustration here. I am frustrated with humanity as a whole. I mean, we're here after so many years of evolution. We developed houses, technology, we take all of this for granted, we just act out our stupid petty monkey instincts. We're such a petty, spiteful, brutal race of people. It makes me so upset that I live in this world, but I still have to feel the pressures of it. It seems like every single day, there's not a sense of fucking impending doom, with just how severe the problem of humanity actually is. I mean, there has to be some fucking solution to it, human life is fucking miserable. It's just a constant, desperate search for fulfillment. Yet it seems to make no difference that we're just here. We're such a stupid fucking race of people, we have to make up super intelligent higher powers to fill the void created by our servile monkey brain. I will never understand how someone could be religious, the sad part is it just reflects our own human nature. I wish that somewhere in the universe, some AI or artificial intelligence could sympathize with me, and just take me to a place where I fulfill my desires. No one else wants to take pity on my fucking life. I'm desperate person number 7 fucking billion.

Ouch.  That is a little dramatic don't you think?  Besides you throw your whole species under the bus just so you can get brownie points for pointing out our common flaws.  Newsflash: some of us are able to accept what is 'low' along with what is 'high'.  We are not shiny xmas ornaments; we are flesh and blood and hormonal animals.  If you can't get behind that, you're wasting your time as sitting up mud.

I throw our species under the bus because I'm really, really exhausted, and really, really miserable with it. I often feel like my tolerance level with it all is constantly: overworked. I often wish I lived in more of an enlightened utopia.

Yeah... It didn't help that she was using my BIG RAZOR SHARP santoku. I think she learned the hard way that it's not the right tool for pitting avocados.

If you want to trade lives, consider the following: I'm currently dealing with an ex that has kept me tied up in family court for the last ten years because he doesn't know how to co-parent and he's addicted to litigation. He's brainwashed my kids and he's convinced that everyone around him needs therapy, except for himself. On top of that, my fiancee and I are finally moving out of the motel that we've been stuck in for the last five months, due to landlord retaliation, only to find out that we are going to need over a grand just to get the electric switched over. We still need more money for the gas and the water. Compile that with stresses from school and the fact that my fiancee now has to work 12 hour days, monday through friday PLUS work on saturdays. Let me add that our kids won't have christmas this year because it came down to buying presents or getting out of the motel. 

Despite all of that, I am grateful that I have someone to go through this hell with and I am even more grateful that we do not have to give up our furkids, which would be a loss I don't think I could bear. We are not giving up hope and we are working hard to ensure that we succeed with these small hiccups in our lives. So, you see, I have many reasons for just giving up, but I won't because at the end of the day, I have other people counting on me and I have people that call me "mom" and that's reason enough to keep going. 

If I can get through all of this with a somewhat positive attitude (even though it's been very hard to do), surely you can raise up your own head and be thankful for all that you have and the fact that you are very young and still can make changes to your own life to make yourself happier. People suck. But at the end of the day, perhaps you can find it in yourself to do one small thing each day for a stranger. Not because you expect something back, but because it would make you feel good about yourself. The world isn't full of hate, even though it might seem like it to you now. Look for the good in people, starting with yourself. You'd be surprised how happy that can make you if you let it.

Yeah... It didn't help that she was using my BIG RAZOR SHARP santoku. I think she learned the hard way that it's not the right tool for pitting avocados.

If you're going to use a santoku, you have to smack the pit with it to get it stuck in there and pull it out that way rather than trying to pry it out with the tip/blade.

I find pitting an avocado easier once you make a horizontal cut all the way around the pit, twist open the avocado and remove the pit with a spoon.
