I am happy and content tonight. The stumbling block that was put before me, in which I agreed to care for this community and its members in a deep way, has been removed from my path.

Frankly I thought this could become an onerous task for you. I like you best, and I think you like you best, when you are free to respond in a way that is only answerable to yourself. Wearing the mod hat forces you to be answerable to other expectations. Thankfully we have good ones here who seem able to put it on when necessary without any apparently loss in spontaneity otherwise. Still I acknowledge it as a real contribution and kind of service to the community for which I am grateful.

Still, I might miss helpful Hannah.

I think you see through a glass darkly. I am a capable and competent moderator, but this was simply not meant to be for here. When I agreed to moderate, I saw two potential troublemakers with respect to my transition: Cinjin and Last Poet. Unfortunately, I underestimated Cinjin - I didn't really consider him to be a likely spoiler, as I thought we would find some way to work out our differences. Last Poet continues to think himself "all that and a bag of chips," continues to harass me in shoutbox, and is now gloating over the spoils in the aftermath.

C'est la vie. Moderating had the potential of making me healthy and sane, and I don't want that. I am free to dream my deep, dark dreams now, plan the death of myself, and anyone else who may need to die, and return to living without trying to split my focus between my busy days and a busy moderating job.

Shit like that happens here all the freaking time! When it's nighttime and I'm scared, my brain decides it's ghosts or monsters or pixies or something, but when it's light and I'm awake and rational, I just wonder what the fuck is causing this shit, you know? There's obviously a natural explanation, but what?

My sister and I actually recorded something creepy once. We were like 9 & 11 and we used to go on oir computer and record our own little radio shows, as you do when you're a kid. Anyway, this one time we were listen to what we had just recorded and we heard this man's voice in the background. My sister goes to me "Who's that?" And I was just like "That's just the TV." And we both looked at the TV then and saw that it was off and had been off the whole time. There was nowhere the voice could have come from. I got kinda excited and wanted to hear it again so I was about to rewind it and listen again, but my sister was terrified and snatched the mouse off me and deleted it. It's a shame, because even now I really want to know what was said. I wasn't listening properly the only time we heard it because I was listening to our voices and didn't think anything of the background noise till my sister noticed it.

I think it is safe to say that radio transponders are pretty fault-ridden devices. At least most of the older models are. Even my car's radio system still chops up.

I was in networking class 1 day and my professor sits an old military-grade receiver in the back of the class and powers it on. It was a semi-conductor based radio device. No digital technology involved whatsoever. He set the channel to match the frequency of 802.11 wireless standards. As he returned to his platform at the front, the radio started to signal. Krrrrrsh! Khhhhhhh! Randomly. The transponder was picking up garbage signals from the routers in the room, and outputting drones. Interference, the radio was mixing signals from sources that we do not want to hear from.

It was never my intention that you'd get off the moderation team... I just wished you'd stop that erratic behavior... which you did!
