I'll take a slap.
I ain't making tortillas. I've made tortillas, and they're much better. But pan fry La Banditerias with a little bit of garlic and butter, and they taste fantastic, as well.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Taco shaming is now a real thing because of your heresy

I can't stand the hard tacos.
I need the soft tortillas.
But I'm not making them myself. How would I find the time?
Homemade cooking is most beneficial for one's health, but thankfully there are also health stores, one of which I am an employee, where one can still eat healthy without the guilt of shopping at Walmart or having the guilt of not cooking for one's self.

For tacos...like...real tacos. It is not about health. It's that store made flour tortillas are not for Mexican tacos. American tacos sure. But they don't taste the same. At all. It changes the texture and flavor completely. It's like eating a completely different taco. It's cool not to want to make them (though, corn tortillas are super easy to make I can make tons of them in a very short time), but go to a taco stand and eat authentic tacos al pastor. Even if only just once. Your life will never be the same because so much yum.

Trust me, this is such a health store, you would most likely find the tortillas bland as freak.

I found the time... 20 minutes from start to finish.
Health food stores are out of my price range. You know, being a student and all. Rob being the only one working (busting his ass to pay everything) right now and we're on a budget. Perhaps once I've graduated, got my cosmetologist's license and am pulling in a decent income, I can do that but for right now, I don't mind making the stuff I should be eating.
Too many digestive issues going on right now to even care about processed, prepackaged foods. My nerves are shot because of RL issues and I need to keep focusing on school.
I carry enough on my plate now as it is. Besides, I really enjoyed making those tortillas. The kids watched me get flour all over my shirt and I threw some at Rob because he smacked me on my ass. We created fun memories tonight. We're definitely going to do it again

I understand. Even though I do work where I work, I still cannot afford to buy from there.
I have survived on Ramen Noodles and hot dogs.
What kind of country is this? America should be better than this.

Yep... land of the fat, home of the unhealthy. Affordability is a huge concern. While I live within five miles of at least four farmer's markets, I can't always afford to go to them. This is one of the reasons I miss owning my own home. I had a huge (150 square feet) vegetable garden in which I carefully planned and grew broccoli, cauliflower, six different kinds of tomatoes, beets, carnival peppers, eggplant, peas, cantaloupe, green beans, zucchini, corn, italian green beans and cabbage. On the side of my house, I grew pumpkins and watermelons and in a large, deep trough, I mixed soil and sand and grew carrots. I parboiled things when the time came to harvest and had my freezer filled for six months with veggies from the garden. If I can find the pictures on an old hard drive somewhere, I'll try and post them. We also had about ten strawberry plants going as well.
And I lived in a subdivision.

My tortillas are made from ground dried corn. You don't even add salt. Still delicious. Come over I shall make you yummy tacos.

America needs to get its act in proper order.
We're not going to survive if we have to depend on the one percent that only thinks of itself.
