Deprivation can result in some near orgasm like pleasure when you get what you're craving. It was eggs, a bit of cheese and chicken so not to unhealthy. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. RE: What's everyone up to right now?

Experiencing a Christmas tradition round out way... hearing the bells of the collectors in high vis jackets, as they walk through the streets collecting for charity, accompanying Santa in an even more high vis sleigh, with all its coloured lights, dragged around as a trailer on a vehicle, playing Christmas music loud enough to be heard all the way across town. That thing's come around every year for as long as I can remember.
Having the same dull conversation I have every year
"What do you want for Christmas?" Me - "I don't know, don't really think I want anything" "But you must have something! You'll have nothing to open" *shrug* I just don't care. Tbh I'd rather just have the equivalent of the money you spend on my brother, in cash, and I'll save it for when I see something I really want. I can't really fake joy at opening a present I really didn't want or ask for, I'm not that kinda bitch. Sorry... I'll still get you something though.

I mean, I have this same conversation with my mother every year. I tell her the same thing. "I don't want anything" is selfish, even if it's the truth. Gift giving is mostly about the giver. I tell my mother, "Clothing. Whatever you get me, make sure it is from a store that is near me, and include the gift receipt."

Ok I'll tell her this next time she inevitably asks (it's only been 3 times this year so far, by our usual standards I've got at least 2 more times before she gives up). I don't know if I'd call it "selfish" ![]()

Have you ever asked anybody what they want for Christmas? Especially if you know you are going to get them a gift. I do this dance with my brother, and it's like a wrestling match trying to get him to tell me what he needs/wants. I want to get him a gift, it's for me, I love doing stuff for my little brother. So when he says "I don't need anything." I'd prefer it if he just said, "give me a bit, I'll give you a list."

Yeah I do, but my relatives are a bit more forthcoming with ideas about what they want than I am, so it's easy.
It's not that I'm some anti-Christmas scrooge who doesn't like getting other people gifts, I'm just not fussed what I get.
