I don't want anything for Christmas. Both me and my sister do Konmariing, and we both realise that most Christmas presents get konmaried on either side... no shame... just the way it is, so we've already agreed we're not getting each other anything, and that's how we want it. We, in our family, are generally pretty flexible with Christmas... sometimes we'll postpone it and have it up to months later, letting us take advantage of the January sales if nothing else, or sometimes we won't do it all. No biggie either way really. I think this year it's going to be an understated if not non-existent one.

The easiest gift in the world:
A visa gift card. You can get them in any denomination, they are good wherever visa is accepted, you have buyer protection as if you used a credit card for your purchase and some cards are even reloadable. If you can think of nothing else to respond with, at least you can reason your want for one. Disclaimer: I am only responsible for what I say, not what you choose to understand.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Yeah, we think so but that wasn't our original rationale for doing it that way, just a pleasant side effect that we realised after the fact; we did/do it like that sometimes because it's the only time we can all get together. Like this year it's gonna be a few days late to accommodate my sister. But it really doesn't matter when it is because being together is the important thing. We still do all the rituals and traditions, just on agreed upon different date, and it feels no different and it's also quite cool that while everyone else is winding down from their Christmases, we're still looking forward to ours ![]()
I hate when I read one of my posts back a few hours later and then I spot a glaring spelling or grammatical mistake that I missed before, and it's too bloody late to edit.
Can someone explain why that two-hour limit rule is a thing? Does it make the forum run more smoothly or something? I've been on others that don't have it.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie
I'm cool with the two-hour limit, but I do go a bit nuts when I catch a mistake after it's too late. >.<
