RE: What's everyone up to right now?

I slept rather shallowly last night, and had lots of seemingly unimportant and unrelated thoughts careening through my head. I woke up in tears.
I got up and composed myself, and desperately tried to evaluate all that was going on in my head. All these completely disparate thoughts ended up having some interesting commonality in theme: respect, transition, and respecting your transitive moments. The last one, especially, has been a hard one in my life.
It's 5:01 am as I write this, and I seem to have food for constructive thought as this new day starts. I'm anxious (in a hopeful way) to see where this all leads, and what becomes of my day, which already has required some rearranging and letting go.

I went to an aboriginal funeral and wake today as support for a client.
Everyone was very nice, although it was obvious they were wondering what the fuck a white dude was doing there and how I knew the deceased, which I didn't.
I also took a handful of down syndrome people shopping for pizza ingredients, helped a guy with spina bifida sand down an old cupboard in the workshop, mowed and tidied up the garden for a guy with Dandy-Walker Syndrome and made dinner for a guy with acquired brain injury.
I'm just loving this new job.
And then I come home to the smell of Grandma's cooking and the sound of my girl yelling out 'Daddy' and giving me a big hug as I walk through the door.
Today, life is grand. :-)

I'm eating a Black Forest ham sandwich with mayo, mustard and pepper jack cheese.

Just got off work; feeling emotionally and mentally exhausted.

For a moment there I thought you came into my workplace to get it, but the picture showed you did not stop at Subway.

Back from a grocery run. In a much better mindset now, but I'm also very fatigued. I'm guessing just lack of sleep (hoping that's the case, anyway).
