Something I forgot to mention: the other day, I was driving to Subway for lunch, and then to work from there. However, as I was trying to angle my car to get out of a parallel park situation, my car headed into a neighbor's car. Nobody was hurt, except maybe for the fact that my knee was banged and hurt a bit for about a minute. His car just had the paint job scuffed. My front left fender is askew and the left front headlight dome is cracked (the light itself is intact, and given that it's close to the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, it's not like I have a lot of plans for nighttime driving anyway). Our cars are both intact, and I'm still using mine (at least until the part comes into [one of] our local body shop on Tuesday.)

Honestly, I'm more worried about the blood test I'll have to take tomorrow. I fucking hate needles, and the fact that I actually ordered this one (mostly because my GP wanted one to monitor my Vitamin D levels, my psychiatrist says I should have one [and the ones he took don't cover Vitamin D levels], and my insurance with my father doesn't cover our appointments with him.)

Went and picked my little econobox up from the body shop. $500 deductible for damage some inconsiderate asshole inflicted and didn't leave a note with their information. That dent was put in it before I even had my first oil change.  On a better note, a different dent that a different inconsiderate asshole put in my car was taken out nicely by a "paintless dent removal" guy for $80. The other alternative would have been another $500 deductible. I'm considering calling my econobox a "dent magnet". I have given over to running the headlights full time, because people just don't seem to see it, and pull out in front of me in traffic, all the time. Should've bought yellow or red, instead of silver.

Packing. Tomorrow I start my week long cross country trip. I fly to DC from California, and drive back for a week. Should be good.

If you pass through Colorado, hit me up. I'm usually down for a beer night.

Likewise if you pass near Portland / Vancouver. She's still recovering but our home is right off I-5 not far north of I-84. I don't figure you'd get out this way unless you get on I-80 and I-84, or something nuts like the northern route through Montana. I could think of worse ways to go.
