I am 99% certain that it's been properly resolved. And I also talked about the issue with my Dad, who has been working with computers since they used punch-cards, and he thinks the way I describe it, the problem appears to have been resolved and shouldn't recur, barring another run-in with a classical CD (I strongly suspect it would be classical) whose pressers lack any restraint in metadata embedding. Then again, with my OCD, that nagging 1% makes me wonder. Then again, given that my compulsion, at least in this episode, seems to involve ripping CDs in my (exceptionally large) collection to see if anything strange happens, this episode of OCD could very well not be that bad.

Well, I was going to recommend grabbing a copy of AudioGrabber and any codecs you may need (it'll accept damned near any), but it sounds like you've got the issue handled.

I used to have the same problems ripping classical music.  It's an inherent limit in Windows that you'll likely hit again if you rip similar material.

One of the many reasons I love AudioGrabber. You decide what metadata it does or doesn't grab.

Just got back from the Bunya Mountains.
Google maps doesn't work there and I got lost twice and once on the way home.
Took the wrong turn off on a dirt road and went for 15kms before the road split and came back together and I realised I was going the wrong way.
Fucking creepy place at night.
Found a tick on my neck and had to stop at my brother's to check for any more, found two more.
I think I got them on a track where a giant Bunya tree had fallen, blocking the path.
Had to climb over the top on the side of a mountain, quite a hairy situation.
Enough adventure for me, I'm glad to be home.

Just dropped my daughter off at her job.

That feels so weird to say. My 15 year old has a job.

I am old.

My 16 year old son's 5 month old puppy was killed today at his mom's while he was visiting me. Seeing your child experience this kind of grief and being powerless to make it go away is one if the hardest things as a parent. He wants to be left alone for now, which we are respecting, but hearing his crying is testing our resolve. I want to fix this but I can't.

Done with the astronomy convention; going on a tour of the Alberta badlands and the K-Pg boundary tomorrow. Sitting here recharging all my camera gear and eating chocolate.

Cathooloo, hugs to you and your family. Sad
