Just finished cleaning up my e-mail a bit and now have only half as many messages in my inbox to deal with. A couple of them I left for later when I have more time, because they involve ordering stuff online -- in particular, a SATA hard drive docking station, and a whole lot of flower bulbs for fall planting.

But now, I'm off to ballet lessons. (No, that is not a typo. I'm taking a beginner-level ballet course this summer.)

Got back from the Half Price Books near my therapist. It’s closing this weekend. I got “Teachings of the Buddha”, H.L. Mencken’s Prejudices (the LoA box set), The Babadook, And Season Three of Breaking Bad. And a complimentary gift bag.

Just got invited to go and see 'Hoodoo Gurus' and 'You Am I' tomorrow night.
I'm not sure if they're heard of outside of Australia but they're great bands.
Tickets are $60.
I said yes.

It'll be good to go to a venue where most people are over 30. :-)

Went to the shooting range and killed a bunch of paper. It's hot there, and at my house. 118° F (48° C) in the shade, at the range. People were literally passing out from the heat; one gal had to be carted off. It's only 114° F in the shade at my house. That's 30° hotter than the maximum 2 days ago.    I'm sitting inside, where it's 40 degrees cooler than outside. I used to be able to work in this heat. Now that I'm old, it is out of the question.
