Debating ordering a pizza. A person challenged me to read How to Stay Christian in College and I made it approximately 12 pages before going, "I need food to power through this stuff."

Yesterday proved interesting. While waiting for my client to show up, I had some guy try and convince me that the earth is flat. I cannot tell you how hard it was for me to not laugh.

I've been looking at some wood carving tools to add to my repertoire, as some of the things I want to carve require tools I don't have. This led to viewing youtube videos about forming, tempering and annealing the steel, and sites where I can purchase the materials. It struck me today that I can probably purchase a number of the same style chisel I already have and modify them to make the necessary shapes. That's about 1/2 the price of doing what I had originally thought of doing, plus I don't have to buy a lot of stuff that I otherwise would have had to buy.

Depends on the context with which he was using earth.  If he meant the ground directly beneath his feet, then yes that could be considered flat.  If he meant the planet in its entirety, however......

According to him, this isn't a planet and it's not globe shaped. That's what we've been "indoctrinated" to believe. It's actually shaped like a bowl and has a lip so that nothing falls out. Also - it doesn't spin. 

This guy had an answer for everything. I was glad when my client finally showed up.

All right, now we have a new development in the Reverend’s quest to build a portable Vox AC-30-sounding amp out of an old precision instrument box, a Joyo Preamp pedal and presumably some power amplifier of some kind.

The BoomBag stereo didn’t pan out, because of some problematic circuitry that can’t be overcome with Dad’s level of knowledge.

So, he found this for somewhere in the area of $20.





The input/output section is questionable, but Dad thinks he can merge the two 20w channels, wire the outputs for a single speaker, create a line output, and make it so one can plug in a guitar cable.

And maybe if we can find a way to make it all battery powered, it can be perfect.

Back at the vet. Ebby has to be put to sleep. There's nothing else they can do for her. I am devastated over this.
