What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Woke up with a sore throat. Burned it with peroxide and then a salt water rinse.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Got to work at 7 to discover that I have a meeting at 9:30 in Tillamook (an hour away) scheduled this morning at 6:20 and that I'm totally not dressed for seeing clients.

Gotta print stuff off then leave early to go home and change clothes.

I'm sleepy.

Finished reading up on the news of the day delivered to my email inbox. Now catching up on the forum. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon, otherwise there's really not a lot on my calendar.

I received my absentee ballot yesterday, and will likely file that Monday. In the meantime I need to figure out how to respond to state Democratic AG candidate Keith Ellison and the charges that he abused his former partner, Karen Monahan. I'm leaning toward simply not casting a vote in that race, but it seems like an abdication of responsibility.

Is a write-in vote an option?

Grieving.  They have made the official announcement that The Thinking Atheist is a sinking ship which will not be saved.  Its last gasp will be 9-30-18.

Please be gentle with us as we drown.

Thank you all for the life preservers.

It's already starting to feel like home here, but, please understand our sense of devastation and loss and don't take it as a criticism of this place.  It's just so hard to lose everything we had there. Panic Panic Begging Girl Shout

Nearly 5 pm here and I'm still drinking coffee. I'm moving to IV fluids tomorrow.

Taking a Franklinian Air Bath (after an actual bath), and watching The Young Pope.

It's a very strange, but fascinating series. It's a bit like House of Cards in the Vatican, but Pius XIII is a bit less Machiavellian than Frank Underwood, though he's still terrifying in his own way:

Yup. Time to look at the rest of Paolo Sorrentino's works.
