What's everyone up to right now?

Beans for breakfast. I went to bed early last night in the 13th inning after the Red Sox scored a go ahead run. It turns out that my assuming they would go on to win it was premature. The Dodgers tied it up and went on to win it in the 18th. Still glad I went to bed. The game lasted an additional two and a half hours beyond the five hours I actually did watch.

This is why I can't baseball. I love a sporting event, but 7.5 hours is too much.

Last Night, I finished a short story called "Vase de Noces: The Musical." It's a review of a fictional Broadway musical based on a (real-life) infamous 1970s Art House film centered around a farmer who fucks a pig. It's actually shockingly faithful to the original, and a lot of the insane things I put in the show are things that actually happen in the film, and those that don't are my attempts at putting it into a semi-sane context.

And the big twist at the end (if true and not just a theory the reviewer created): the author of the musical was blackmailing the producer, threatening to release information about his sexual misconduct to the media unless he made this play happen. A play so uncommercial (Hell, the fact that the plan involved Wicked being forced to move to a smaller theater so this could be in the biggest theater on Broadway could very well have caused a severe controversy that could sink it on its own) that his star would likely fall so far that his accusers would be far less afraid of reprisals.

• Entered the latest data from my weight loss spreadsheet.  I'm averaging 1 pound of weight loss every three weeks, which means that I should be at my target weight by December 2021 or earlier.  (I'm not dieting in the sense of restricting what I eat, other than bringing in less junk food into the house and not eating just because it's X o'clock).
