Just got to work... going to do some car buying research today so that I can ID ones I want to test drive later this month. My car started shifting oddly again last night. It's on the steep end of the downhill slope to the junkyard.

Wondering what kind of billable work I can do today to look busy. Tongue

I also revisited my Pottermore account and took the wand quiz and now am actively trying to not buy a $150 custom made, hand carved wand. Dodgy

May I advise looking into electrical or hybrids?
The first-gen Nissan Leafs are probably down to an affordable second-hand price now and their batteries should still be almost as good as new, which means ~100 mile range.

The Toyota Prius is also a very good bet for these intermediate times.

The Prius is on my list to test drive, as are Golfs, Imprezas, and Civics.  My problem with the Prius is the wheel/tire size compared to the car.  It looks like this to me:

It just looks wrong and I can't get over it.

And I can't go full electric as I have no where to install a home charging station seeing as I live in a condo.  So I have to go gas or hybrid.

I love VW though and can't get away from loving the Golf and GTI.  And I just found out they're making a 2019 Rabbit Edition!!! Heart Lucky for me Golfs and GTIs tend to make top 5 in most Top Rated Hatchback lists.

Just got back from an appointment with an occupational therapist. This was just an assessment. Next week, we start a four week course aimed at expanding my skills and capacity for managing in the kitchen. I brought my new 8" Fire tablet with me, and it rocks. I was worried that I would be giving up functionality that I might have had with the larger 10" tablet. Well, I haven't seen any loss of functionality, really, and I've gained functionality. The smaller size allows me to hold and handle it easier than my older 10" tablet, enabling me to use it much easier and in more situations, such as standing waiting for the bus. I did poorly in terms of keeping my spending in check last month, and so I was going to hold off getting bluetooth headphones to go with it. But given the functionality and possibilities involved, I think I'll go ahead and order the headphones, even if it's a little irresponsible.

I bought my sister a Vikings football jersey as a Christmas present, and it came in the mail today. I ordered a women's medium, but it's closer to a small than a medium, so I'll need to exchange it for a large. I'll take the light rail to the Mall of America to do so, but I'm not eager, having just got home. So I'll chill for a while and then head out.

In the meantime, reading the forum and listening to the Barenaked Ladies. Not a fan, but this is all right.

Watching match of the day, and eating various cheeses. I like the smoky cheddar the best up to now. Oh and also looking at Christmas gifts for the family.

Just heard from Beccs. Good news! She's been granted bail because they couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that those 9 drug dealers at the wharf didn't cut each other hearts out!

Big Grin

(hope she's OK)
