A thousand times yes.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Just ordered a speaker for the TV that I can put near where I am sitting. My hearing is getting worse and instead of blaring the TV to a ridiculous degree, I am going to give this a try. I can even plug my headphones into it if I want to.

My hearing aids probably need to be replaced as they are a few years old and my hearing has changed but most of time I manage quite well. Husband goes to bed early at night and I usually end up either listening to things on my laptop or sitting in silence so as not to bother him. I hope this turns out to be a good solution.

The internet crashed where I live around 10:16. It’s still not working, I can do nothing about it but use my phone as a hotspot. I will take a rest and If this means I need to find a stray cat for Comcast to feed on when I wake up, then so be it.

Also, I’m planning on watching Blood Orgy of the She Devils for the Project tomorrow, but in addition to everything else I found at Half-Price Books today (including a first edition of The Great White Shark Hunt), I also found a DVD of MST3K’s Wild World of Batwoman and since it also has a copy of the original, unriffed film (plus it fits well with my genre cycles, since it’s technically a sci-fi film), I plan on watching that one next week.

Realizing a week later that I hauled a bunch of (electric) guitar gear across a good part of North America that is left silent for want of a $3 part I left at home by mistake. Amazon to the rescue.

Heads will roll. *Someone* is responsible for this outrage.

Oh wait, that was me.

 I do empathise.

My hearing is slowly getting worse.  The main TV is set up in my bedroom where I have a sound bar set up. It's pretty good, I like it loud.

At a friend's suggestion I bought a pair pf cheap Sennheiser Head phones. His argument was that a cheap Sennheiser is better than  some much more expensive headphones by some  other makers.  The pair of wired stereo headphones I bought were under $40 delivered .My bed is a good 3 metres from the TV.  Bought  a long extension cord from Ebay, it wasn't expensive. The only drawback has been that I don't like wearing headphones. Same with 3D glasses. (A TV I bought came with 3D. I think I've watched about 5 movies )

Pretty sure hearing aids are in my near future. For years when people said I was  becoming deaf I simply told them my hearing was fine. That I simply didn't listen to them, which is partly true.

I  once met a lady over 70 when I was travelling. She said "Don't get old, you won't like it".   I considered the alternative and decided to hang around. She was righty, but I still prefer the ways things are to not being.   I have no intention of going gentle anywhere.
