I legit forgot that last night was Daylight Saving, so when I woke up this morning I thought I was late to lunch when in fact I was early. Could've slept for another hour.

It was going on 11. Lunch doesn't even start until 12 it's just if you want a seat you have to show up an hour in advance.

Have three quilt tops that I am pinning onto batting and backing. I won't be able to move tomorrow since I do this on the floor and at my age I am probably too old to be crawling around like that for hours. So far I have the batting pinned to two of them...one more to go then backing on all three. I'll need traction and/or good drugs in the morning.

New York strip on sale at Whole Foods. I haven't been happy with steaks from my regular grocery store, but I don't really feel like paying the prices the meat markets charge.

I need someone to take away my keys. Amazon Treasure Truck had a $200 sous vide unit on sale for 40% off. It's the last thing I need, but it should enable me to perfect my steak cooking methods.

Well, my sis wanted me to buy a large LED tree. They're $500.

Instead, I took out the 40 year old tree .It's fine, I haven't put it up for over 20 years. Gave the decorations to the OP shop ages ago.

Went down to the local 'Cheap As Chips'. I think they're called dollar stores in the US . Bought a large thing of red tinsel , several dozen gold globes, in different textures, and a string of 240 LED fairly lights (white). Total cost; $50, Put it all together and it's not too bad. Good enough for a thing I will only use for one day very two years. I will put the lights on just before sis arrives, then turn them off and dismantle it as soon as she leaves. Have to or my Jack Russell will destroy it and all of the decorations. He's a destructive little turkey.

I must wash my Grinch T shirt for Xmas day. I also wear a red pixie hat with white trim. Will post a photo if I ever work out how to post images. here. Google photos is just dandy for Facebook, why not here?

Mine is not officially up. I assembled it to see how it looks and to make sure the little lights work. It remains in the lounge room, where I rarely go. On Xmas day, at about 11.45, it will be moved into the  dining area where it will be sat on a coffee table , to prevent himself from getting at it..

Growing up, we always had a real tree, which was put up 12 days before Xmas because mum said so. For presents, we got a main present such as the radio I got one year . We also each received a pillow slip full of 'stocking fillers'. After lunch to my grandfather's house to see him and my two aunts. Another mound of presents. We were definitely spoiled rotten at Xmas. Unlike the rest of the year.

Received my last toy for my 12th birthday***. After that I often got clothes which mum had chosen. Later Avon aftershave and soap on a rope. (mum was an Avon Lady)

***A British racing green scale model racing car as driven by Stirling Moss. It had real rubber wheels and proper spokes. The little driver came out and the steering wheel worked. It was driven by friction. My little brother smashed one of the wheels while I was away in the army

Having a spot of tea. I took my pills earlier, so I'm a little sleepy. I may just leave everything until morning.

What a load of crap. I ordered three knife blocks, a gold one for one sister, and two black for myself and my other sister. The black ones are described as having weighted bottoms. They aren't. That's complete bullshit.
