Really? Well, I loved it until her and Booth got together. Same thing with Moonlighting with Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd. I think the sexual tension lent a little frisson.

Loved NCI too. But for the minor characters of  Ducky,  Abby, and Ziva. Never liked Gibbs and his stupid fucking rules. (always thought of him as a conservative Republican) Really started to lose interest when Ziva left. Stopped watching after Abby left. Typical American TV series. The producers are so greedy. They often keep a series going for one or two seasons too much.

I still Like The West Wing, and have the box set. Even that went one season too long in my opinion.

So I'm looking for a decent phone with a replaceable battery. So far I've found another Samsung, at over $600.00. I will look around a bit more. They're out there, one just needs to hunt them down.

Anyone have any suggestions?  Not keen on buying any second hand tech if I can avoid it.

Oh dear.

Sensible suggestion:

My ex kept a muesli bar or something similar in her hand bag. Might that work for you?

I just went online (there's a couple of great Aussie mobile online sellers and also ebay) and bought 2 new Samsung S10e for under 400 each. (free delivery). Excellent phones and excellent value.

Them getting together definitely toned down the drama. And the whole babies ever after for everyone reeked of “everyone is straight and don’t you forget it”

Tried doing a little holiday shopping. My anxiety is through the roof. I truly hate receiving and buying presents. If I see something I think someone will like, it's usually not a scheduled gift thing. I never have that kind of inspiration when it's birthday or Christmas time. Right now, I feel like I'm hunting for something superfluous, every idea I have is something basic, impersonal. It's like, "why bother? You don't need a candle/shaving kit/patterned pajama set. In fact, me getting it for you feels like I don't know you.(I do know you, by the by, but when you're putting me under pressure and I have to get a gift by this set time and it doesn't come up naturally, I of course can't spontaneously conjure up something you need/like right now. Otherwise, I would have already gotten it and given it to you weeks ago. But it's not on "holiday" so it doesn't count for set celebration time. A new gift is required for set celebration time and T H E   R I T U A L)"

If I don't get you something, I look selfish and uncaring. And I FEEL selfish and undeserving when you get me something and I didn't get you anything. It's just an awful time designed to make me feel inadequate in all the ways. I can't enjoy your gift because it highlights how spoiled and incompetent I am. OR you have illustrated how little you know me by getting me soap/a tool kit/holiday socks. We should just not do this.

I enjoyed Christmas when I was Santa. It was so much fun to see the excitement when the kids opened just what they wanted. Staying up late putting things together after figuring out a hiding place and also a time to wrap gifts without getting caught. Loved finding cool little things for stockings. It's lost a lot of it's magic since the kids grew up. Now, all four grandkids prefer cash and the adults just pass gift cards back and forth.

I do like getting together with my kids and grandkids who live here in town for an evening together since it's a rarity.

Good news: I managed to find that DVD case of Hereditary and clean my room.

Bad news: Well, let me put it this way; when Dad asked me how I was feeling, the first word to come to mind was "Bataan." Dehydration is especially bad, I need a sip of water after I do much of anything. Normally, by this point, my Deep Hurting Project dissection of Disney's Mr. Magoo movie would be done, but I think it'll have to wait until after dinner.

Yes, that is exactly it. Everyone is older now, no children left in our family. I find it abhorrent to buy gifts just to get stuff, to accumulate and consume. I don't like it when other people do it to me, either. I don't want for anything. The last gift card I got, I spent on groceries. I mean, it's a helpful thing but it's not my idea of "holiday tradition" and "Christmas magic." It feels misplaced, like we're playing pretend. "Here is money; get yourself something nice." "Eating for another week and surviving. Thanks."

I much prefer the family time spent together. That feels more like I remember Christmas and holidays being like.

Coffee and iced tea. Trying to recover my energy after lying in bed watching football all afternoon.

Back from picking up packages. Soaking my feet, drinking scotch, and watching football.

Maybe I should have awty do my bookkeeping. I was off $50. Fortunately, that's to the good.
