Husband's hot rod finally got delivered early this morning.  I am still working on convincing him that it's not my thing.  It's his toy.  He ordered it to be built 3 years ago, right when COVID was shutting things down...that's why it took so long.

He's currently out driving around to the kids' houses to impress them.

He's so happy.  At least the weekend is supposed to be nice so he can play with it all weekend.

I'll be entertaining myself.

I'd pick water skiing, and I'd know where my hands are/doing. Same thrill but at 30mph, crashes are for the most part harmless.

The latest weather report has scattered storms coming in at 9:00 pm. The fireworks at the ballpark are scheduled for between 8 and 9. It could get tight.

The strap is actually a shadow from the roll bar behind his head (or whatever that's called).

Though he is terribly excited about the car, he's figuring out the racing safety straps, belts, and what hooks to what.  You perv.

Does it have an SOHC 427 Ford engine, or what? If I had built one, it would have had a 5 liter engine, which is 303 Cu In. That's plenty, unless you're racing against Ferrari.

Laying on the floor with my pups. We made it home. 8 hour ride in a rental…not a single accident. Proud of them.

My kids behaved adequately, but only just. Replaced.

When my dad got his first computer I knew very little other than how to enter data.  I spent hours on the phone with him as he tried to describe issues he was trying to solve and I knew just a little more than he did.  I try to remember those days when I have the unfortunate need to call tech support.

Jake Cave walked off the Saints tonight. That was sweet. I forgot my bank card tonight, so no beer for me. Instead, I picked up $12 of ice cream on the way home.
