Is there an option?  Like, can the chip stay in there forever?  Sounds uncomfortable.

As the swelling goes down, they're hoping the chip will re-align itself and fuse to the bone it broke off from. Right now, my ankle is taped up tighter than Dick's hatband, but the pain isn't enough to speak of.

If it doesn't re-align, they'll just remove it to make sure it doesn't move back to the nerve.

Mourning my poor abused bank account.

We need a support group for that because I'm there, too.  Consoling

Hope it works out well.

A few minutes ago, the boys were tussling and it's rather dark in here.  Zig zigged and I zagged to keep from stepping on him and landed on the couch.  My wonky rib is twitching now...guess it will be a muscle relaxant kinda night.

Even if I do need the surgery (they walked me through it), it’s very minor - small incision, local anaesthesia, outpatient. No huhu.

Yeah, we need to stop dodging our pets and think of ourselves for once, dammit!!

Finished putting the final touches for alignment on my new table saw. Haven't cut a board on it yet, and it has (minor) scratches on that nice new cast iron surface. Oh well, it's a tool; that's what happens to them. Need to make a new gate for the rental house. It'll be the first job off that saw. The clodhopper renters (or possibly the gardeners) wrecked it. The gardeners habitually ran into the gas meter, triggering the earthquake shutoff valve. The renters put a bunch of cinder blocks and bricks in the way so that they didn't have to keep resetting the thing. Those gardeners were probably the same asshats who did the next door neighbor's yard. They repeatedly slammed her gate, and she complained that they were going to break it. They told her, "We know someone who can fix it". She fired them, and took it upon herself to make her yard drought-tolerant. Good for her; she doesn't even have a screwdriver. One of my sons has done a bunch of odd jobs for her, gratis.

A couple of days ago I did something really interesting.  I was walking out to my shop to turn off some lights at about 9:30 at night and I saw a whole fleet of UFOs flying overhead.  3 bright orange lights and a whole bunch of tiny bluish-white ones.  They were way, way up high, and the more I looked the more there were.  All were moving to the west from the east.  I counted 25 of them.  All randomly spaced apart but all moving in the same direction.  The three orange lights were equidistant from each other, one at 11 o'clock, one at 12 and one at 1 about 35 degrees from the horizon.  That brings my total up to 56.  Cool.

Be careful.  I've got matching scars on both my thumbs from the table saw.  I hate using them but they can do so many things.  One time I was doing interior trim work on a house and the builder asked if he could use my table saw.  He tried to feed the wood from the back end of the saw and the board shot through a huge plate glass window.  Ouch.  It coulda been worse though.  Glad I don't have to use them much anymore.

Got a message that says my Netflix account was suspended and will be deleted if I don't click on a certain link in 48 hours. Instead of clicking that link, I went on the Netflix app to see if my account was suspended. It wasn't.

I've received those messages too, usually in text. ^^

The hackers are getting more and more sophisticated. Don't click any links that seem suspicious. Ever.  Confused
