It was my favorite side dish with whatever it was served with. Many, many years later my sister informed me that it was my fault that we had to eat lima beans. I hadn't known she didn't care for them. Ooops.

Standing in a concession line at a Muse concert. The guy in front of us is apparently someone famous, four random people in the last 5 minutes have asked to get a picture with him. No idea who he is.
Good news: FINALLY got some work done on the Richardsnary guitar project. I can even put the neck in the neck slot.
Bad News: we'll still have to do more stuff to get it totally flush. Other Bad News: My Photo Stream is refusing to update, so I can't post the photos I took of what it looks like now.

Bought a decanter to make my own infinity bottle. That's where you add bits of this and that whiskey over time to make something unique. Now to decide which whiskeys to start with.

There was always some overpour, be it alcohol, mixer, or the other odds and ends. In some bars there was always some crazy person who would (usually on a dare) have us empty this into a glass and then they would slam it. BLECH!

I was reading Woodwards Horticultural Buildings and Graperies, 1865. This is a sort of year end review of designs and letters to the publisher about 25 years after the start of the grape (and greenhouse) business in the us. It's a notable volume because a reader sends in a letter that year which gets published in this volume calling the entire staff of the publication and in fact the entire industry a bunch of dipshits - before giving the first written description of what we now call low and high tunnels and their commercial use.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
Figuring out alternatives to watching TV the way I did before my debacle with Comcast. The two things I most watched with them were local and national news on CBS. I'm not as free to watch them at any time after they air anymore, but local news is repeated once every half hour and CBS' national news shows up on Paramount+ by morning when I can watch it. I only paid $25 for a year of Paramount+ with ads. Next year I'll pop for the ad-free version. And I went looking for Late Night With Seth Meyers, which I'm a big fan of, and found it on Peacock Premium which I get for a buck a month for a year. I had completely forgotten that I was even paying for that. If nothing else, it's good to add it to my monthly budget so that I'll know to cancel before the promotional rate expires. I'll likely pop for some full-featured streaming TV package at some point this year, but for now, basically all my needs are met. I miss the schlocky scifi movies and shows and such on the local SD channels, but it's not a big loss. In the meantime, the savings is helping me get my credit cards paid off faster.
