Nowt wrong with toys. I was just wondering if maybe you were going to be part of a weather reporting network. I don’t know if it’s a thing in the US, but we have people with home weather stations all over the country who use their gear to collect and send data to MetService.

the vendor of this weather station collects the data from all consenting purchasers’ devices, and make its own weather forecasts based on the readings and publish the forecast though it’s phone or tablet app. But it is not associated with any other weather service, either commercial or governmental.
