I almost had to sleep in the hallway tonight. They're replacing the locks in my building. They replaced mine today. I locked it while I went down to get my mail, and when I came back, it wouldn't unlock. Fortunately, the rental office was still open, and after some back and forth with the people doing the changeover, they were able to figure out a solution. Otherwise, I would have had to wait several hours for a technician, and both people in the office had kids they needed to pick up and whatnot.

Thinking over the Wednesday that was.

Wednesdays are the days I look after now 7 month old granddaughter.
I only had a few Wednesdays before Xmas and daughter took January off.
First Wednesday back, there was room for improvement.
Second, I thought I did well.

The third Wed.

I got a thing in the letterbox back in November, fibre to my house is now available, book it and in seven days speed will be yours.
I went for a deal, four times current speed for $10 more a month.

I arranged for my daughter to be present a month later for the connection, it didn't happen.
Another month later and it was supposed to be today between 1 and 5pm and it didn't happen.

I was doing well on my list, bottle, nappy change...
Scrambled egg? it's not a thing I cook and she didn't seem to like it much.
She slept an hour ten, that's pretty good.

Decided to do a trivia night at a local brewpub with my Dad. We called ourselves "27 Offsuit." Why that name? After this scene from Nobody.

The tattoo on Hutch's wrist are the Two of Diamonds and the Seven of Spades, a 2-7 Offsuit, which is, according to the rules of Texas Hold Em Poker, the worst possible starting hand. To reword it a bit, it's the last thing you'd want to see in such a game. Just the same as Hutch is.
