Ah, it seems were are in complete agreement here. Do you know the name of that special because if you do, it would would make it way easier for me to find it.
Quote:She has known since teenage years that she is bipolar, but yeah the meds are scary to people. She takes ADHD meds, but is scared of bipolar meds. I was on ADHD meds, became psychotic, and was scared shitless of anti-psychotics. It did not help that the first time I caved in and tried an anti-psychotic (zyprexa), I started tripping balls and nobody running the psych ward believed me. But yeah, while people tend to view ADHD and depression meds as "stupid" or "WHY CANT YOU PEOPLE JUST HANDLE THIS WITHOUT MEDS", there is a more pronounced fear of anything that goes beyond the familiar realm of anti-depressants and stimulants.
I think I'm with you on everything you just said.

This is called "blindsight" I believe. Some studies on the subject were only done with people blind on one side, others completely blind. I watched a video of a blind dude maneuver around objects. Something to do with a reptilian part of our brain that recognizes motion and objects, if I recall correctly.
Oh, and your mom is in denial.
Sorry to go into bitch mode u guys I didn't take my sleeping pills and I've been up all night. I am not really equipped to deal right now.

Ahhh I WISH I remembered. I think it came out in 2011 if that helps and it was on netflix when I had that. It's a cool special though, shows kids that UNDENIABLE have the mental disorder they were diagnosed with and others where the answer is significantly more obscure or they may not have anything wrong at all!

What does she want?! Well I take that back I know what she wants. A daughter who isn't relearning her entire life. But it's not like I woke up one day decide "Hey, how am I going to be huge burden on my family that already thinks I'm a snob?" Oh, yes, I agree with what that other person just said, which is that your mom is in denial, and will add that it is probably a really strong denial that she emotionally needs and unfortunately the fact that she is in denial about it might never change. Sorry.

I definitely don't consider that bitch mode. I consider that a thing that is absolutely expected given what the experience of being you probably is, and I mean all of it.
I don't know if I have ever seen you complain about something with such raw honesty before on these forums, those few times that you have complained about something.
And everyone should have some place on the internet where they can complain about SOMETHING with raw honesty.

Oh, futile, my bad it came out in 2008 and is called "The Medicated Child". Apparently they also have a short video, not a frontline episode, about foster kids and antipsychotics. I might look at that

Hmm. If it indeed came out in 2011, knowing that might help me find it. Thank you for mentioning that is on netflix because lots of people have netflix and if I were one of those people, I would probably have no trouble finding it and watching it. Unfortunately, I am not currently a person who is on netflix. This is the first time I thought it had any significant value compared to being on Hulu Plus, other than the fact that Orange is the New Black is on netflix, something that will only matter to me when the entire next season of Orange is the New Black is on netflix, because I do NOT want to watch it as it comes out because that would be expensive and it is not worth it to me.
Hmm. That was definitely a rant. Now you know my opinion on Netflix, because I'm pretty sure that was literally all of my opinion on the matter.
Oh, and unfortunately you also know that for me to find this special will be hard. It will take thought to figure out if I think how hard it will probably be to find it is worth the potential value of having seen it. At least I have no doubt that if I want to find it on the internet, it will be possible for me to do so, because in general it is always possible that you can find pretty much any given thing on the internet.

At work, just read an email from my recent ex bf. for those who don't know, this guy really hurt me and broke my trust numerous times. I didn't reply to this email. I need some objective advice. When this guy "had" me, he treated me like crap now that he lost me, he's been chasing me ever since. What does this guy want?
I think I know, probably recalls all the times I've taken him back and wants a booty call. Ugh. That is my guess. I just wish I could erase that whole event. I'm doing fine and then he pops back up.
