I have been invited to my sister's house, I have nothing to give my nieces or nephews. I hope I don't drag down the festivities
I'm glad you did a little decorating. I don't know how many nieces and nephews you have or their ages, but getting a little gift shouldn't be difficult. I find teens love cash and gift cards and the little ones just want a surprise.

Trying to work a couple knots out of Harley's ear fur and she thinks the time would be better spent with a belly rub.

Still, probably better than a cat that misinterprets every touch as a reason for clawing you to death.

I go through that with Blue - claws and/or teeth. But I must say he is mellowing in his old age and not drawing blood as often. He would never submit to a belly rub.

If today goes as planned, which it rarely does, I want to get some writing done.
Wrote a little bit, what with my work schedule being how it is, but I want to do more. Forcing a writing mood does not equate to good writing on my part.
Then again, in an hour or two I might not be in the mood to write.
We'll see, I guess.

I can't remember the author who said it, but, "The first step to writing a novel is sitting your ass down at a typewriter or computer."
However, Terry Prachett said, "Writing is the most fun thing you can do on your own with your pants on."

Had to go to Oak Park to do a mental status exam for my disability claim. I think the doctor sees things my way, and I hope the judges who adjudicate my case do as well.

Are there really people who have days that go as planned?

Had a holiday dinner for work this evening. Sat with someone I don't know well and found out that a person can talk for over an hour and a half without taking a breath. By the time I left I didn't even want the radio on in my car...my ears/brain needed a break. That's waaaayyyyy too much for my introverted self.
