What's everyone up to right now?

Taking a break from preparing the kitchen for pest treatment on Tuesday. I have to empty all the cabinets and countertops. Fortunately I had a shelving unit I wasn't using that I could set up in the bedroom. Last time I did this, I piled everything on folding tables in the living room, which ended up blocking the window, for which I got cited for clutter.

They're tearing up the street on my side of the building. I have the windows open because the A/C is out. I thought that I'd sleep in this morning, but no such luck.

Going through my closets to get rid of a lot of unnecessary junk. Might try to get a buck or two with a yard sale

I’ve always been something of a pack rat. Throwing stuff away frequently necessitates a shopping trip.

Me: ‘Good lord, why do I still have [item]? I’ll never use this. Out it goes!’

Me, two weeks later: ‘What the hell did I do with [item]? I saw it just a couple of weeks ago…Oh, right. Dammit.’

Me, two weeks and one day later: ‘Good morning! I’m looking for [item]. Do you have that in stock?’

This stuff I can say safely, I'm never using.  EG: A mahjong set I never used.  I think I wanted to try it, but couldn't find enough people for a full game.

I'm reviving something my father used to say. If you haven't used it in six months, throw it out. (With exceptions, of course.)

Back home @ 1am after a late-ish connection from DFW. I always have difficulty sleeping after flying.
