Lawl. How do these things happen?

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Thanks but it was another false alarm. We have an appointment to induce next Thursday so we're almost done.

First time dad? noob!
Wait until contractions are, at most, 10 minutes apart.
My sister in law, once (of her several kids), waited until they were 5 minutes apart... then there was traffic.... and she had the kid ~5 minutes after arriving at the maternity! [/Don't do this.]

His profile says not a first time Dad. He should know better! :-P
My when my step-sister was having her first niece she was in labour for 36 hours and went to the hospital several times during that time and was told every time that she wasn't dilated enough and sent home again and wouldn't give her any pain relief, just advised her to take Paracetamol (Tylenol). They didn't admit her until she was literally 10cms and they were like "Yeah, whenever you're ready to push, just push." Poor thing.
If it was me I'd go to the hospital, demand all the drugs and refuse to leave until the kid was out.

Got called over to the parents' house after I was done with work today, told it was urgent. Turns out my mom wanted me to hang a fan because my sister is coming into town this weekend.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Had a nice little chat with my mother. All the physical symptoms since my cruise seem to be the flu.

No this is my second. she was in labor 36 hours with the first one. She's had some complications with this pregnancy so her doctor always tells her to go in when anything is different. There's been multiple times where she was having contractions every 3 minutes over the last couple months and she has had to go in and get them stopped.
