Knowing I should edit my student's papers, but eating frosting on the couch. Welcome to my deadbeat summer. *insert zombie face*

I'm watching my daughter officiate over the wedding of a lamp to a fan. Apparently, she figured that some hefty and authoritative tome was required to sanctify the proceedings. She picked The First Part, Henry The Sixth.

This is what graduate school does to people *insert zombie face* Wait till you're sifting through 300+ undergraduate papers on the same goddamn topic because your PhD supervisor couldn't be bothered!

Clocked in an early shift today... tomorrow, I get a late one... yeah, be home by 11pm, while all those cute Oxford students are out and about during the day wearing those nice short shorts... and I get to be stuck in a cold room, looking at a computer screen. Oh, joy!
