I got through the first season of that terrible show. Shit pulled a fast one on me and got good out of nowhere. I felt conned.
Now Imma watch the second season......hopefully it all falls apart.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Haven't seen that show in seven years. It's hard to get back into Star Trek now.
Voyager has become my fav of all the trekkie shows.
I watch about 5 episodes of "Enterprise" and gave up.
I logged to the official ST forums and told them that Roddenberry would be turning in his grave if he knew what ST had become.

If you were on the ST.com forums, now, sadly, closed down, we may have encountered each other. I was there for years. In fact I think I had the second highest post count there - 40,000 plus - until I stopped posting and someone overtook me.
Yeah, Enterprise was terrible.
Loved Voyager and DS9. Borderline with Next Gen.

I never got into Voyager. Might be time to give it another look.
This may be blasphemy, but I enjoyed Enterprise - though not as much as the others.

Sorry CD accidentally edited your post! Put it back to normal now though
My boss just found out his sister has bowl cancer and she's been rushed into hospital for emergency surgery.
He's pretty distraught, naturally. I really like my boss as he's really helpful and a good teacher. Will try and do everything to help him out.

I'm in the process of re-watching all the star trek series aside the original from the beginning. Done tNG, DS9, on season 5 of Voyager which I really like. Only depressing thing is that the characters are all so forgettable aside Janeway and 7.
Harry Kim? My, what a memorable character.

Everyday I become more and more convinced everyone around me is a complete asshole desperately trying to push me past breaking point. Being good sucks, I think being a dick might make me happier, or at least make people leave me the fuck alone.

Just think: everyone around you has been through that and accepted the inevitability that being an asshole is the seemingly best way, like you are contemplating just now.
Be the better person.

Sitting here, very stressed. My car is in the shop because it's an Audi and when you change the battery, the computer resets to factory settings. Which means if the engine's not new, it needs to be reprogrammed. My Audi is 15 years old. So it needs a Throttle Body Adjustment. But now there is an electrical problem, which is what caused the battery to die in the first place, and every hour I sit here is an hour I'm not at work, and an hour that they charge me for labor.
I'm only slightly freaking out here.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
