I woke up at 3:30 AM with the urge to write about a certain memory I have of a day in which I was two. Yes, two. I wrote about it for about 30 minutes, read it, decided it was boring and deleted everything I wrote. ok, now back to sleep.

A brief read of some info and it looks like I'm leaning towards the S4. In terms of features and function, the S4 doesn't really distinguish itself from the S3. But it's lighter, thinner, and has a higher resolution display, all important virtues given my physical handicap (missing 9 of 10 fingers). The size and weight make it easier to find a place to carry when I travel. The higher resolution screen means I will be less often tempted to switch from phone to tablet, with all the physical juggling that would require. My 10" tablet has a highres display, 1920 x 1200 pixels, and the difference in textual clarity, readability, usability, and ultimately 'reader fatigue' from lower resolution devices I own makes a big difference. I'm just not positive I can afford the extra scratch at the moment.

(Confirmed. Financing settled. Just need to calculate regular operating costs now.)

Dude.... how can you be missing 9 fingers, and consider a smartphone? that big?! It can't be easy to hold and use at the same time... with one hand... not to mention multi-fingered gestures, like zoom and rotate... :-s
I suggest you try it out in a store before you buy it...
