That's about how I felt, when at nearly 44 years old, I decided it was a good idea to compete in a Taekwondo tournament. Can't abuse the body the way we used to. :p

What's everyone up to right now?

Just got home a little bit ago from a great date. An expected date. This guy is not my ex bf I talked about in here recently. (that's a done deal, me thinks) This guy is brand new, and we had an amazing time. Now...I'm off to bed. Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend.
Buried my last remaining dog. This will be the first time in my life since I was 6 that I have lived without a dog. You know, I know I'm just making connections where there are none, but god damn it if I've ever buried a dog in good weather. A more spiritual person might say that says something about the day a dog dies. It certainly speaks for every time I've buried a dog. The sky is dark, the wind is cold, and the ground is hard. There I am, fighting the Earth to give it something it seems not to want, fighting to give it something I don't want to give up.
Lucy passed in her sleep. She was old and overweight. I couldn't bring myself to put her on a diet, when it was her last remaining enjoyment in life. She was a good dog.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay." For context, this is the previous verse: "Hi Jesus" -robvalue (November 17, 2014 at 7:17 pm)Exian Wrote: Buried my last remaining dog. They truly are members of the family. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" (November 17, 2014 at 7:17 pm)Exian Wrote: Buried my last remaining dog. Thanks, Beccs. Big hugs are much appreciated.
Thank you, rexbeccarox. In one month, I've built a barn and a pasture, and buried a dog; I think I'm officially a hillbilly. Now to write a song. Lol

Exian, dogs live about 15 years... people live about 75 years... if you're a dog person, you're bound to bury quite a few.
It is the reality and you saw it coming. Still, it's never easy. Try cats!
Oh, I have cats. I think I'm officially a cat person. I've buried zero cats so far. I was just talking to my dad. We both decided to time our next dog with our own approximations of when we'll die haha

I had to take a cat to the vet yesterday. He has a bony tumour on his chest - not life threatening at this stage, but it's uncomfortable for him and times and he scrapes it coming through the cat flap causing some bleeding. Does he need surgery?
