It's the noun version of "metric," a standard of measurement.
A Metric for Adult Education could be a minimum standard that would prove a person ready for undergraduate studies. I think that's all I want to say about that.

Just got up to go to work. Got 11+ inches of rain last night. Guess I'm going nowhere.
