Just woke up from an arvo kip having had a strange dream.
I was checking out a plot of land for sale on top of a hill when a horse came up the dirt track with an ape on it's back holding a shovel above its head.
I was a bit worried and considered hopping back into my car but they just checked me out and left.
An old lady in the house next to the vacant land came out laughing and told me that the pair of animals belonged to a person down the road and were harmless.
She invited me in for a cuppa as I was left a little shaken by the whole thing.
So we sat on her back verandah and I was in awe of her spectacular view.
I pulled my mobile phone out and clicked off a few shots.
We had a lovely chat and I offered to come back again, next time with my mum.
As I left her house I climbed down an embankment to get some more photos of a nice laneway between rows of banana trees.
The whole area was just beautiful.
As I climbed back up again I put my phone down on a ledge and a young girl tried to steal it.
Luckily a copper was standing close by but the girl claimed the phone was hers.
So the copper took us to the 5 minute day court which was nearby.
Within five minutes I had my phone back and was on my way home to review the photos.
That's when I woke up.
It took me a minute or two to realise that the photos weren't going to be on my phone.
They didn't exist.
I was so disappointed.

So do I. I'm not prone to nightmares. Just reality with an implausible, but benign twist (driving around Germany in a VW Golf [U.S. spec] and the car is literally going "VROOOOOOM" in a human voice. And the locals speak German in a southern American drawl).

I don't really remember dreams at all unless they wake me up and those..I'd rather not have them at all.

I had a dream last night involving taking pics with my phone, as well, and had that same feeling waking up -- that those pics would never be there, bummer. Odd.
