Over here meat is priced by the kg, but I usually buy it by the gram.
One thing about NZ though, the meat us fucking expensive. Especially for a country that is a major meat producer. And the meat you get in the supermarkets isn't even the export quality cuts, but it may as well be. You know, Beccs ... I often buy lamb from New Zealand in the UK ... and I must admit that it's so delicious, especially according to my recipe

Yeah, I pulled out the old Sharp Scientific EL-506A and after 10 minutes got the conversion.
Let me see... off the top of my mind, one can find:
100g fillets
150g fillets
200g steaks
400g steaks
And that's it for individual doses, I think...
Of course, there are shops specialized in serving meat, called butcher shops, where you can ask for your meat to be cut anyway you want.

And I bet you pay less, comparatively, than I do for a lower quality meat.

Spent the afternoon in a training course at work. When I got home I spent about an hour memorizing some music (about 10 bars' worth) for a gig this Saturday.
We got rained on late this afternoon, so no yard work today.

Stories like this always remind me why I'm never having kids.
