One of my clients died yesterday.
I found out today because I turned up to a shift at the Men's shed and he was not there.
I'm a bit pissed off that I had to find out like that.
It was a real shock.
All his stuff was there, the toolkit we'd been working on that he was so proud of.
So I put it all together for his mum to come and pick up.
It doesn't feel right that there's nobody to talk to about it and you're just expected to go on with your day like nothing happened.

Probably, but it would have been nice for them to contact me beforehand.

I've been watching this show on adult ADHD for a few days, off and on.
It's only twenty minutes long.
Anyway, it sounds like they're talking about me in particular. I dunno.
I want there to be reasons for why I can't do certain things at certain times as well as the inability to adequately explain the reasons.
And sometimes forcing me to do something is akin to putting a claustrophobic person into a box.
If I'm not interested in something it is sometimes a physical impossibility for me to concentrate.
I hate sitting down and I hate sleeping. I wish I could be always awake.
I need noise to sleep.
And for all these reasons and many more, I don't feel like my job would be secure after visiting a company quack. :-)

I feel your pain. Back when I wrote FORTRAN programs, my bête noire was typing in a zero instead of an "O" when creating "do" loops. We used all caps back in the day, and with a cheesy monochrome green monitor, after several hours of coding, with bleary eyes it's hard to tell that the "O" had a slash through it. Go to compile,and "unclosed do loops" complaint(s). Feck. I'm worried about double precision complex number calculations, and it's a typo that's killin' me.

In talks with an etsy account to create a custom body pillow cover, for reasons related to my trying to find a balance between a desire for a girlfriend and my knowledge that, with my solitary temperament (between my ASD, being so used to being alone, ending up on the shittier end of Erickson's Trust/mistrust stage, and general misanthropy), a proper relationship would probably end up like this:



And I just made a Paypal account to pay for it. It might be a good 30th birthday present, if I can choose between Alison Lohman, Shakira, and Joss Stone.
