My wife is a teacher. I told her to tell the principle that she will quit before she will go back to school. It is crazy to send kids back to school before there is a vaccine for covid-19.

I can't really afford to quit my job. But thankfully my district decided to go against the parents wishes, and not have in-person learning except for a few exceptions (Special Needs, Those without access to high speed internet, and ESL students)

One of my brothers is head custodian for a high school. He works year-round because all kinds of repairs get done in the summer. Practically nobody has access to his office, so he's OK, there. It's actually his busiest time. His wife is a nursing aide, or whatever they are called. Her "office" is a 6 foot by ten foot cubby crammed full of medical supplies and paperwork storage cabinets. On a give day she may see 40 or special needs kids, and has to don and doff protective gear for each one if the school reopens before the covid threat abates. If their school goes back into session without cessation of the covid threat after the one-quarter delay the district is set to implement, they are both simply going to retire.
