So you're Frankensteining yourself to hold onto life a little longer, gotcha.

So, after playing with the uke for a while, I noticed that the intonation was way off. So, I went to Hogeye Music to have it checked out. It turns out that A) the bridge is about 5 millimeters closer to the neck than it should be for proper intonation, and B) the people who made the kit sent a concert uke neck with a soprano kit.
For what it's worth, the only person to chime in on the Blutelele vs. Koko debate suggested calling it "Kokolele" (specifically using the words for "Blood" and " Perfect"), which does not sit well with me, partly because, uncomfortable connotations of "perfect blood" aside, the staining used wasn't all that perfect, either in the exact stains of red used or in the application.

I spent a few months making masks and then realized I had ordered an extra bundle of fabric. Since I still have enough fabric to make several dozen more I decided to try my hand at making a quilt. It's taken about two weeks...I'm pretty happy with how my first attempt turned out. Just finished it this afternoon.

Tried to watch the first debate. We couldn't make it the whole way; it was mostly Trump just talking shit and Biden trying his hardest to not just yell this to him:
The moment that led to Dad shutting off the TV:
Biden: We need to increase the corporate tax rate, because we have 91 Fortune 500 CEOs who don't pay a penny in taxes.
Trump: Why didn't you do that before, when you were vice-president?
Biden: Because you were the one who passed that law.
Trump: Yes, I got it done and the economy's booming like it's never boomed before.

.... When we moved to my dad's hometown we moved into an older home. Dad fussed and cussed every time he tried to do any repairs or renovations and often complained that not a damn thing was square. My parents bought the house from the man who originally built it...as in, he was the builder. Drove my dad nuts.

This place was built by at least 7 guys. That's how many additions there are.
What are the odds? Apparently not one of those idiots owned a square or a level.....
